The goal of lime is to provide calcium into the soil, which is a critical nutrient for plant growth. PlotStart™ provides instantly soluble and available calcium, making calcium readily available to plants, beginning the altering of soil health right away, and “freeing” up bound calcium particles already in the soil. Traditional lime can take months if not years to apply its full effect, whereas as PlotStart™ works in a matter of weeks. Liquid lime is an alternative but must be added every growing season, PlotStart™ has been show to continue to contribute year after year.
Ease of application is a huge advantage! Would you rather have to handle a 1-ton mound of white powder or pay the extra expense of having it spread? No way… just use one, 2.5 gallon of PlotStart™ in a pump, backpack, ATV/UTV, or tractor-mounted sprayer and get a better effect that also happens at least 3X faster!
DeerGro™ is recommended to be used in addition to fertilizer, however, the products will free up a lot of nutrient that are bound in the soil and not currently available to plants. It will also make fertilizer use by plants more efficient, reducing the amount of fertilizer needed each year.
No! Regardless of the condition of your soil, DeerGro™ can only help. Whether it is needing added calcium, or added biological components to improve nutrient uptake and plant growth, the DeerGro™ products will grow a better food plot just by applying the minimum recommended amount.
NO! Derived from organic materials, the DeerGro™ products are in essence “all natural” made here in the USA. None of the contents in the products would be considered toxic, though WE DO NOT recommend consuming them. Please keep out of reach of children and pets.
PlotBoost™ is specifically formulated to be mix with Glyphosate (Roundup®) and other herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides. This allows a “one pass” operation while treating soybeans, corn, alfalfa, wheat, etc. DO NOT mix Glyphosate with PlotStart™ directly in the same tank, as it could create pressure in the sprayer tank. You can spray PlotStart and Glyphosate right on top of each other without delay.
DeerGro™ comes in easy to store, convenient-sized containers. PlotBoost™ can last up to 4 years, and PlotStart™ can last up to 2 years maintaining full-potency.
Unlike liquid lime, PlotStart™ has been shown to provide calcium in the soil for multiple growing seasons. Although calcium will be absorbed by plants over time, supplementing the soil with PlotStart™ will make sure the food plot reaches maximum potential each year.
Yes, special orders of PlotStart™ and PlotBoost™ are available. PlotStart™ bulk orders come in 55gal (22 acres). PlotBoost™ bulk is available in 2.5gal (10 acres). Contact the DeerGro™ main office for pricing.
All products are concentrate mix and can be applied through any mode of standard spraying or fertigation equipment. This includes hand-pump, backpack, ATV/UTV, and tractor-mounted sprayers.
Product rates vary. For PlotStart™ it is recommended that a minimum of 2.5gal per acre be applied, with very acidic soils receiving up to 5gal per acre. PlotBoost™ is applied at 32oz per acre, and can be applied up to 3X during the growing season.
PlotStart™ is available in two sizes. The 1.06 gal will cover up to ½ acre effectively. The 2.5gal bottle is suited to cover up to 1 acre and contains more liquid calcium per unit volume than the smaller size.
PlotBoost™ can be applied up to 3X per growing season on a plot to see maximum effectiveness.
PlotBoost™ contains a mix of complex carbohydrates, amino acids, and micronutrients that “unlock” the plants full potential, and allow it to absorb the maximum amount of nutrients possible. Proven to increase overall yield and production, PlotBoost™ will grow healthier, stronger, and more nutritious plants for your deer.
Apply PlotStart™ on soil before or during seeding. PlotStart™ can burn actively growing or seeding plants, so should be avoided unless applying to perennial clover plots. If you need to apply it to an actively growing plot, reduce the “burn” risk by applying it in the rain.
Healthier, stronger plants have been shown to be more resistant to insects and disease. DeerGro™ provides the plants everything they need, faster in order to reach optimum levels of health. Through its proprietary mix, DeerGro™ also enables the plants to use water more efficiently making it less susceptible to drought and heat.
You can spray PlotStart™ on soil at any time of day, and if applying to growing plants apply in the morning or evening. PlotBoost™ should be applied in the morning or evening, when temperatures do not exceed 85-degrees. It also is better if the plants are wet from a recent rain or dew.

Yes, it can be used to coat the seed, then once dried, planted as normal to effectively “boost” germination rates.
Yes, PlotBoost would be useful for a fruit tree application.
For this type of application, mix PlotBoost with water for a carrier and spray roughly 1 oz of PlotBoost on newly established trees or 2 oz of PlotBoost on trees that have been established and/or out of the seedling stage. For the best results, spray in the late afternoon when the shade is on the tree or wait until just before dark. Early morning application would also work. Make sure the spray tank is clean of anything else besides PlotBoost before spraying trees.
Yes, DeerGro™ is formulated for use on food plots, lawns, and gardens. Check the label for appropriate application before using on lawns and gardens.
